In the month of March, The Regent Taipei held classes for 4 days instructed by the famed Le Cordon Bleu culinary school’s director Stephane Reinat, allowing local patrons to experience for themselves the wonders of Le Cordon Bleu French bread. The long-standing Le Cordon Bleu institution has given birth to countless internationally recognized culinary masters; therefore it is with great honor that The Regent Taipei may have Stephane Reinat, holder of 2 Cordon Bleu certifications, showcase his knowledge and skill in the craft of French bread making. In his younger years, he worked with several famed bakers and learned the art of making bread, and after entering Le Cordon Bleu, was successful in obtaining recognition in baking and desserts after much rigorous competition and training. Afterwards, he went to Paris and worked for a sweets company doing research and development and in 1995, began plans of opening his own bakery. Today, Reinat has 7 bakeries through Provence, France. In 2001 he was hired as Director of the baking union in France as well as the French government baking consultant, and in 2008, his performance landed him a job at Le Cordon Bleu as director of baking. Today, he continues on his culinary career, creating a history of astounding feats and accomplishments. In regards to bread, Reinat is full of passion that encourages him to not only preserve the traditional flavors of French bread, but with innovation and skill, combine bread with other ingredients to enhance its flavor.

Reinat not only dazzled with his skill, but his kindness and energy were unforgettable. While instructing classes at The Regent Taipei, he went one-on-one with each student while teaching with patience and even though who had the pleasure of attending his course in Japan came to him to greet him warmly, clearly displaying Reinat’s popularity.
